Sparkles are all in for New Years, so it's time you went all-out to celebrate. We judges usually tell you off for pairing gold with silver by mistake - but this time, your task is to do it on purpose!

You need at least one gold and one silver item,  one of which must be a main item (dress, tops, bottoms, jacket.) Alternatively, you may use one main item with both colours. The inspiration given follows these guidelines, so make sure to look carefully!

NOTE - Rose gold and other metallics do not count.

DEADLINE - January 8

Theme Choices:

Three's Trouble
Pony Parade
Floral Flares - suggested by LisdenG

Mirdith and Myrthe were both away on holiday, so our admin and mini-comp host Jenna (kittywaytocute) stepped in as third judge. Holiday seasons are always a bit tricky as we all live in different timezones and have different schedules, but everything should be back on track for the next task.

Thanks to Noismini's previous task win, she added 0.5 to her score, landing her at a tie with LoveFotinh for first place! Both will receive +0.25 for the next task.

Last place goes to Reckless_thinG - we're sorry to see you go, but this was just not your best work. But don't fret - task 6 will include the comeback task!

Second to last is Eve11149 who chose the task All That Glitters!

Rankings:

Eve11149

Lucy - Oh, that bag placement is all wrong... ignoring that, I do like the pants and glasses, even the bag really, it just should have been in the other hand. I don't like the added "sorry" pin, since there's already a word-print on her top - it seems like she's apologizing for wearing Subcouture again!

Leigh - Got to agree with Lucy on this - the bag placement is odd, as is the "sorry". I don't dislike that she went mostly blue, but the white shoes threw me off a little. The floral details and the glasses are cute.
Jenna - It's too plain to me, where is the jacket and texture gone? The colours are OK.

Lovefotinh - 7.75

Lucy - Yaaaaaas. Not sure where your "minimal" is supposed to be, because it certainly isn't, but I'm loving all the textures here! I don't like that hat and whatever fluff is poking out behind it, but otherwise, the red is really popping out well here. Also, this is possibly the first outfit I've seen that made these shoes look good! However, next time you cover the hands, please remove whatever that little green thing is - not a huge issue, but it bugged me a bit in such an otherwise clean look.

Leigh - Love the textures and all the layering she's got going on. The red pieces still pop even though there's so much else happening, which is just what I was hoping we'd see. But the accessorizing, not so much. The gold hat is a major no from me, and I don't know if the bag works with such a different red. The shoes "work" I guess, but they're unnecessary.

Jenna - Not my personal style but that's ok, the fur coat I think is cool though like the other judges I'm not happy with that hat and the shoes.

GingerZarah - 7.66

Lucy - I'm glad you went for a cross-body here, because it puts the bag truly front and center. You've even done your nail polish red! I'm none too fond of those boots, but I think that's more a personal preference than how they look in the outfit.

Leigh - I like it, it's subtle! The little peek of lace under the jacket is a nice detail, as is the single earring. Part of me feels like she should be holding something, but then, she does have a crossbody bag so maybe that's just throwing me off since so few people use them.

Jenna - My favourite one! It's the kind of trendy looks I can see on Pinterest or Insta. Don't like the boots much but they're OK.

LouisaKaremina - 7.16

Lucy - I just adore the jacket and pants! You've got colour and texture, but the eye still gets draw to those all-important red pieces, which is perfect. The glasses I'm not a huge fan of, they're a little small and almost pink, but the shape works so I can see what you were trying to do with them. I'm trying hard not to let the top get to me, I know the gold is mostly hidden by hair but...agh. I think I would have preferred something plain and black to let the red pop more.

Leigh - Not my thing I think, but I can appreciate all the textures at least. Like Lucy I'm not that into the top but also the bag I don't love, it's too formal for the style of the rest.

Jenna - Like Leigh I think this is just not something I like but looking at it in parts the glasses are pink I think? I like the coat with the little red in it, that's nice.

charmedavenger - 6.91

Leigh - Not convinced that tartan goes with floral, but it's a nice risk to take. The necklace throws me off with this being really edgy otherwise. It's definitely a change in style, so good for you for taking a risk.

Lucy - Leigh covered it - not convinced the jacket goes with the bag, or the necklace with anything, but it's nice to see this from you. I do love the black matte bodysuit look, which makes  the red and leather stand out more.

Jenna - Oh. It's not awful I guess but there's nothing going on that's in fashion, unless you think the mixing prints and that's not looking too great to me. Maybe she should have used red boots and made it all edgy.

me4evr - 6.91

Lucy - It's a start. But one of my biggest pet peeves is combining colours that don't quite match - like all the reds in this look. Making them the feature colour on makes it worse. I like that you tried matching edgy and formal styles, and it could have looked good, but the accessories are just wrong together.

Leigh - Ouch, different reds, not a good start. The top half is so formal with the ascot and jacket, and the lower is something of a rock-chic. I don't think it's a risk that paid off though, because this just looks both plain and has a mistaken identity.

Jenna - This is confusing. I like the tie and jacket and don't hate that it's with skinny jeans but the bag and shoes are very odd. Nice to have a red lip with it though.

Cold_Hearted - 7.16

Lucy - I like the choices in terms of red, and I'm definitely pleased you risked some colour with the denim pants, because it worked out very well. Unfortunately, it's not much different to your last look - same scarf, same hat, another loose blouse, more tall boots, and the red-white-blue. I'm hoping you'll take the next task to branch out some more.

Leigh - Oh, this looked so familiar, and then I noticed you used a lot of similar things from the last task. Having a style is fine, but you do need to change and evolve which I hope you do because I like what you've done in this outfit better than last week. I like the colours a lot, and the shapes you've chosen with the asymmetric top, ascot and bag. The jacket is a bit awkward though, you should have held both items in the same hand.

Jenna - I didn't judge last time but I checked and agree that it's not good to be using the same stuff, in your suite you have an excuse but the plaza has so much you could use. The concept is nice, I don't like an untucked shirt in a formal look though.

Noismini - 7.25

Leigh - Oooh, we have a contender here! My instant reaction is that the shoes should have been red and not...whatever it is those are. But otherwise I definitely love that this went big and bolg with the tribute pieces. Possibly an issue, that the red doesn't exactly "pop" - but red shoes would have helped that I suspect.

Lucy - Leigh said it, I think. I love the look, but the red just seems like an add-on, rather than a bold feature. And those shoes are an odd choice.

Jenna - The look is lovely with the gold print and I like the top layering a lot, but I don't think it meets the task too well because the skirt pops more than the red does. I like you used earrings with it but definitely not fluffy shoes, or whatever is happening with that.

Reckless_thinG - 6.58

Lucy - Please go read my tips - poses so rarely ever pay off, and this coat just should not be there. It clashes with the red and black and just looks like you couldn't be bothered styling something that matched. I like the choker and bodysuit but... not a lot else.

Jenna - Someone does not know how colours go together. We don't rate on makeup but the eye shadow is purple, then there's red, brown, gold, black... no no.  Poses almost never look like you put effort in.

Leigh - I think my job has been done. If you'd used a white blouse and a gold necklace, this could have looked okay, except that, well, the focus is supposed to be on the red items.

Sunday 17 December 2017

Task 3 is due on the 30th of December, so be sure to submit your best looks!

This gives you two weeks, so don't rush - we know how busy this season is for everyone.

Have a great Christmas!

A little bit of colour can go a long way.

For this task, you need to create an outfit featuring little pops of red. Make sure that the red is the most eye-catching part of the outfit - your statement piece. But don't use too much of it! Make the most  out of  a little less, like the inspiration below...

And if you want to make Lucy happy, don't use that same old red puffer jacket we've seen a dozen times already.

Due Date:

This task is due on the 30th of December to give you more time over Christmas!
If you all submit early, though, we may push it back again, but no need to rush it.

Next week's choices are -

One Time Ruffle
All That Glitters
Three's Trouble

Inspiration:

Slightly rushing to get this up, sorry.

The winner this week is NOISMINI, who gets + 0.5 next week!
Unfortunately, the loser this week is greeicyrendon1 who is eliminated.

Our bottom tow were tied and both chose the theme are you red-y!

Eve11149 - 6.68

Lucy - It took me a moment to notice the second striped piece as the shirt, but that's okay. This is a little more styled than the last look, having a bag and tights to accessories with. I'm almost a little mad at the gold detailing on the bag - I love the contrast between the bag's print and the stripes, but of course, the jacket and skirt are silver!

Leigh - Oh no, the silver with gold! I do agree with Lucy, it is a bit of a shame because the bag's texture does look so right with the stripes. Maybe some necklaces with both silver and gold could have made it look more intentional? Not sure how to feel about the top, maybe I just don't like the colour but there's something about it that makes it look awkward to me.

Myrthe - Simple but pretty outfit. I like the colours you used. Pay attention to the gold and silver details, they don't fit well together. The outfit is okay, try to do something more next time. Let us see your creatitivy? I know you can ;)

Mirdith - Well this is cute and nice. I think the top was too easy. The point in this task was combining two types of stripes and this top has the stripes very soft and not that evident. I would have liked another boots better as well. And yep, I agree with the others about the silver-gold mix.

CharmedAvenger - 6.25

Lucy - I like that you matched the choker and bag, and am impressed you went for a patterned bag instead of a plain one. The belly tattoo looks a bit messy, and the orange butterflies clash with all the pink, yellow, blue and purple that's already a bit much.

Leigh - Well, a lot happened here, but also, not much? A little textured piece, like some fur or a sheer. plus a neutral hair colour could have improved this so much. This is a decent start, like Lucy said I like the bag and the choker detail giving this some colour, especially with the bold double stripes, but if you're going to feature a colour, pick just the one, not several!

Myrthe - Ow yes this has a lot of stripes! But it's a basic outfit. Try to add some more details, some more creativity and layers in your outfits, that will take it t o the next level! The combination of the shirt, skirt and shoes are fine. The bag looks a bit random to me since you didn't use anything else that was pink, maybe some other details you could have added?

Mirdith - I like how all your outfit is in black and white, and then all the accessories are in pink. I don't like though your SUPER easy choice of combining two stripes that are the same. Would have loved to see something more creative.

greeicyrendon1 - 5.37

Lucy - Those shoes! Oh, no, not with tights, not ever. Oh gosh. I do love the colour of the top and blazer, and that she did go for a patterned tight - always a bold move! Just, closed toed shoes next time.

Leigh - The chain on the jacket to match the necklace is a cute little detail, but didn't you use that skirt and top last time? I know you've got more in your wardrbobe, and there's always using the plaza so I don't know why you went for those again? The top I could excuse since it does go with the jacket colour-wise, but the skirt as well? It's a bit disappointing.

Myrthe - Oh I think you already used that shirt and top? Try to use some other items next time! Like Leighways says, the top and the jacket fit well together but I think that the bottom part isn't really fitting. Some other shoes would have been beter since it looks weird with the toes that are showing, some closed shoes would have been better here. Try not to combine silver and gold, that doesn't work most of the time (it can work). My favourite part are the top and the jacket together .

Mirdith - Oh no, no, no. You can NOT repeat combinations in a fashion competition! As they already said, the combo with the blazer is really nice, and I like your two stripped items. But... tights and sandals? Not a fan of that, at all! Also the sandals have colored jewellery that does not match with anything else on your outfit...

LoveFotinh - 7.13

Lucy - I want to like this so dearly! I love the kimono and skirt, and you took a risk using red a brown together... but I don't think it paid off. Perhaps you didn't look at the inspiration, because the shirt underneath and the bag look like they belong in a whole different outfit. And what's the red jagged edge behind the skirt? Oh well.

Myrthe - Oeh, I like this! The blue and red look very good together and I love the top part (what is that? A kimono?) The boots and earrings work well with it, so does colour of the skirt. I'm not really a fan of the brown bag with it. Another bottom piece would be better here, the combination with the skirt looks a bit off.

Leigh - The top and skirt is nice, the boots are fine I think but.... I have to agree with everyone, it's good until the brown bits and the weird back piece. I'm also not a fan of the glasses or earrings, they're too big together. I feel like this was a nice look you'd made before and you added the brown shirt to match the task. I'm sorry but I don't have much good to say here.

Mirdith - That's super cool and glam at the same time! I really like the stripped kimono you went for and how it looks with those chunky heeled boots (where are they from? never seen them before!). Your doll looks like a fashion magazine worker ready for fashion week and that is always good! I'm not sure about the colours of the stripped tee you used underneath. It kind of breaks the rest of the outfit in black and red.

Reckless_ThinG - 6.25

Lucy - I love the colours in this look, especially since they co-ordinate so well with your hair. The two very different styles of stripes look interesting together, too. I just wish there was a jacket or a hat with this to give it some dimension.

Myrthe - This is a really basic outfit, nothing special. It's okay and it's not ugly! But, I want to see some more creativity and effort. The colours are okay together, but I'm not a fan of combining a short with a blouse like that. It looks empty, those heels under those shorts are just a no go for me.

Leigh - Not bad, there's not much happening in this so I'm not sure what to really say. I agree with Myrthe that this short and blouse combo looks kind of weird, the patterns are nice but if you're going to do a shorts+long sleeve combo I'd make it an Autumn look - add some sheer leggings and boots sort of thing. I do really like the colours with the shorts and bag. But if you are worried about matching your hair, just remember you can use Tress Up if you're in the plaza!

Mirdith - First of all you should need to improve the image quality. Why is it so blurry? Again, I'm referring to Lucy's post about hairs... Your hair is covering a big part of the outfit, and the vibrant colour does not help the outfit to stand out, the opposite, it is dristracting and from a different red tone that the outfit. If you do the outfit in Starplza you could have easily used on from Tress Up. I agree with Myrthe in that your outfit is a bit simple, but the combo of stripes is very cute. You should have only needed to add some more accesories and you would have a had a pretty nice outfit there!

Cold_Hearted - 7.16 + 0.5 = 7.66

Myrthe -  Love the colour use on this! Yes for blue, white, black and red It looks really french to me and I like it. The beret with the scarf make the outfit fit together in a good way. The boots are a good thing since it fills up the empty places on the doll when using a short skirt. I like that you went for something out of your comfort zone!

Lucy - Eh. I like the top, skirt, hat and boots, it's very Paris as Myrthe said. But you've lost me with the accessories. The bag looks like it sits odd with the proportions, and I just don't like the stripes on it, to me they clash with all the other prints you have. I understand the scarf, but again, it clashes, so a plain one may have been a smarter choice.

Leigh - There's such a thing as too much print, and this is it. The top and skirt are cute, and I like the colour of the scarf, and how you tied that with the skirt flower colours, but with the bag it's just far too in-your-face and doesn't look co-ordinated. I think the dark blue strap on the bag in a light-blue outfit is not helping.

Mirdith - Yes! You went out of the comfort zone and you created a very cute outfit! I love the Parisinian vibes it gives me with the beret and the scarf, and I love you paying attention to little details as the eye-shadow. Not sure of how the bag looks with the skirt, like it's not bad, but those different patterns with different colours are so closed to each other that they collide somehow. Other than that, I really like your improvement

Me4ever - 6.5

Lucy - This is a definitely quirky print combo, and I like you took a risk on that jacket. And the hat is adorable! But the shoes are confusing me - this is a winter outfit, so I'd expect some kind of winter shoe - and there's not a lot of accessorizing. With a jacket like this, I'd suggest a crossbody bag.

Leigh - It's...fine. The dress with the jacket is risky, maybe, but it looks to me a bit lazy, like there's no belt or bag or anything with it. The hat looks good but yeah, what is up with the shoes? They're summery in a winter look.

Mirdith - So cute! Your dolls face is really cute and the outfit you created is also super cute, with the pastel colors that hat. Not a fan of the shoes... Like at all! You're all warmy on the upper part and then you're wearing sandals? Makes no sense. Other than that, nice color combination. A little bit simple outfit, like you should have added a bag maybe or something else, if not it looks like... idk empty? Needs more!

louisa.karemina - 7.41

Myrthe - Hmm this does something with my eyes and I don't know what, almost like an illusion things. The use of colours is good and I like the striped items you used, but not together. The skirt looks like it's part of the jacket and has some weird random shape. The bag matched well with the top part, but the bottom part of your outfits doesn't fit.

Lucy - Love the top half, don't mind the shoes, but what on EARTH is that skirt doing in this???? It's an off-white in an otherwise crisp-white look, it pokes out of the jacket oddly.... gah. I really do love the shapes and layers going on- and that you took the stripe and print count to a new level.

Leigh - I think she should have used the skirt OR the jacket - not both, because it's too much bulk and print in one space.. The jacket goes better with the bag, but the skirt goes better with the tights. I really do like the colours and prints she went for and there's no lack of the stripes.

Mirdith - If you have ditched the belt I would like this 10 times more. I like the classy style, very Blair from Gossip Girl like. Love how you kept everything in the same tones, and the addition of red was something very original to do. However, I'm not sure I like the skirt plus tights... maybe there are too many random patterns going on (jacket, skirt, tights, heels...).

Noismini - 8.32

Lucy - I'm liking this! I'm definitely into the textured furs, and the belt in the middle. Even that bag makes sense with this look! I think a hat or necklace, just some sort of accessory may have mad this look just a tad more.

Leigh - My first viewing wasn't so great, I think like Lucy said it needs some accessories. But there's a lot of fluff and fur, it's very much coordinated even with the stripes, and I like the wide fishnets with them too. Something about this makes me think I have seen this somewhere before though.

Myrthe - Oh I love this look! The stripes work well together. Smart move to put that belt in the middle of it, it kind of creates another stripe and makes the two striped prints work together very well and cohesive. The bag is cute and fits the outfit. The fishnets add something extra to this look. The boots work fine too. I agree that maybe it could have used something more? But this is a very good outfit :)

Mirdith - Oh wow! What a difference from last week! This is great, you can never go wrong with black and white! I don't have anything wrong to point out, or anything I would have preferred, very very cool entry! Well done!

Gingerzarah - 7.25

Lucy - Sometimes, less can be a little, well, more. I'd have liked either the pants or the top along with the coat, but both looks a bit awkward and undecided. I don't like the boots much, as I would have left the jacket as the textured piece and gone for something smoother. I'm glad you took a risk with this look though, and I do like the accessorizing, especially the bag and belt. They're detailed while letting the big coat shine.

Leigh - Yep, agreeing with Lucy again - don't like the boots for sure. Also, isn't the top silver and the rest gold? Not the biggest issue when regardless, the top should go. The accessorizing otherwise is real nice and that jacket is for sure difficult to pull off, especially when adding detail around it.

Mirdith - I love the boots with those pants, hat, bag and belt! But the jacket ... looks totally out of place imo. The top with the silverish stripes doesn't fully convince me with the pants in golden stripes... Maybe you could have added black and white stripes and look more cohesive, with a black leather jacket maybe? Or just a black jacket instead of that brown and colored jacket...

Saturday 9 December 2017

Stripes have been a staple since prints were a thing - but lately, they've been even more on-trend than usual. But sometimes it pays to be a little brave, so this time, you'll need to use at least two different items with a striped pattern.

Don't forget to read last week's feeback HERE!

This week's theme choices are:

Are You Redd-y?
Unstoppable Sequins
All That Glitters

Submissions close Saturday 11pm NZT / 11AM GMT

It's the first feedback post of the season - and, unfortunately, it's also time to say goodbye to the two contestants who failed to submit. Orpul-is-me9 & Mylife-notyours both did not submit in time and have reached the end of their time in the cycle. We're sad to see them both go so soon, but there WILL be a comeback task later on!

Those who submitted a bit later do not have feedback from all the judges. The reason we are being strict on time this cycle is both Leigh and Lucy have full-time jobs with early-morning shifts, and aren't able to get online on Mondays - plus, it's unfair to those who did submit as required.

The theme next week will be Stripes On Stripes as chosen by Greeicyrendon1, who came second to last this task. The instructions and inspiration will be posted in a few hours.

Myrthe - I like the colours you used, I love the combination of pink, white and black. I would have changed the way you paired the ugg boots, some stockings would have looked better than just bare legs or even some pants. I'm also missing a bag, that would have made your outfit better! A bigger necklace and another colour would have worked better since there's a really low neckline and it looks like there's something missing. But it's a pretty colour combination!

Leigh - Hmm. I don't know if I like this all that much, for starters there's too many shades of pink all in one, and the skirt poking out annoys me way more than it maybe should. I like she has details with the choker and headpiece.

Mirdith - I love how the Uggs look with this silky jacket you went for! I would have never paired that myself for that pattern mixture, but I do like how it looks. However, even though the colours don't look bad together, there's nothing else on your entry that makes your outfit to stand out. It's a nice outfit, but a little bit boring. I agree with Myrthe that maybe a bag would add something new to the outfit. And, accessories. They kinda look a bit random to mee. Why the golden choker? And the bow in your hair? Would be better without it imo, as it's not even the same shade of pink. It's not bad for a first task, but I'm expecting better for the next ones ;)

Reckless_ThinG - 7.125

Lucy - I am surprised by how good this looks, considering it's so simple! The tartan scarf is a smart choice, blending the red-pink pants tones with the brown boots and scarf, and I like the little bangle detail. I do like the idea of the jacket, but the cropped length looks a tad awkward with the t-shirt being tucked in.

Myrthe - Good work pairing all of these beautiful colours! I love how you worked with the brown of the boots in the scarf and bag. It's a really casual and simple outfit but it works. The bag should have been a little bit more brown and less grey, but that's a detail. Try to do something extra and special next time, I know you can do that and it will make your outfits even better!

Leigh - This is really a nice start! I agree with Myrthe that the bag could have been closer in brown to the shoes, or maybe the shoes could have been grey-er? Either or. I'm glad the scarf is there to add some print to this look, it could have been too plain otherwise. And it's always brave to use coloured jeans, but it paid off!

Mirdith - I love the colours in here. I agree with the other judges in the greyish tone of the bag, but other than that you have a very appealing colour combination going on in your outfit. I think that in here the denim jacket is what makes the outfit too basic. I mean, if you had added something more glam maybe, the outfit would have something special that would make it more interesting. If you accept a little advice: be brave for the next task and risk it a little more

LoveFotinh - 6.812

Lucy - And my pet peeve appears - gold and silver, worn together, by accident. I do love that she's played around with some major textures, from sheer sleeves to fluffy jumpers and the ripped denim, and the colours are a good start. The thing is, while this is a look, I'm not too sure it's a good one. And what is up with those cat ears???

Myrthe - I agree with Lucy, combining silver and gold is a no-go. Pay attention to this, it's something important that I also pay attention to! I like the grey pants and boots in combination with the fluffy brown and blue. You placed the top a little bit wrong, it should be a little bit higher because the bra is showing. Another would have worked better and another head piece. The cat ears look a little childish or for halloween.

Leigh - Pretty sure it's all been said. I don't mind the cat ears, they're just kind of, not "in". The textures are nice and the colours are smart, besides the silver-gold thing, which all she'd need to really do would be swap out the choker. I like that there's quite a lot of layers and detail, even if they're not the right ones.

Mirdith - At first sight I liked this outfit more, because then I started paying more attention and I started to see some things I'm not that sure about. First the choker. Looks unnecessary to me. Sometimes is good to add more accessories to create a more outstanding look or to add something to an otherwise plain outfit. In here.... You already created a cool outfit, with the mix of textures (I really love the fur with the sheer top) and styles (casual meets diva). I like what I'm seeing though, because it's obvious that you pay attention to little details, like adding the socks in here. Keep doing that!

Eve11149 - 6.125

Lucy - Clearly, she invested in Subcouture. That's not a bad thing, but it's really the only thing that's going on here. There's no bag, no scarf, not hat, not styling - no effort, really. The colours are bold and brave, at least.

Myrthe - I like the top part the best, the combination of those colours look great and the items are of high quality. The bottom part should have been more interesting since the top part is simple but works. A simple pair of jeans don't do it for me. Try to do something special, with some layers or something next time. Make the outfit your own, because this is very basic! A bag is also a must ;)

Leigh - Well this is.... not much. I thought at first that Myrthe and Lucy were being harsh but there's not really anything styled here. A little layering and a bag can do a lot more than spending on rares does.

Mirdith -  They say less is more, but in your outfit less is simply not enough. Where's a bag? Why no accessories at all? I think my colleagues have already said it all. I like the minimalism vibe going on in here, so if you want to keep it minimal just do so, but make sure then that your outfit has something that highlights it. Maybe here if you had gone for a white jacket, the boots will be the center of attention and would be special cause is the must for this task. Just make sure, that your outfit does not look like if you just put together all your recent buys in one outfit.

Lucy - I'd say the description was worth the read- otherwise, I'd have been a bit confused. I do think the bag is positioned a little weirdly, and may have looked better on the other hand. I'm glad a risk was taken though, with such a realistic way to wear them, and I definitely like the top half a lot - it's a rare day I like a baseball cap worn on SD!

Leigh - Interesting! I don't know if I'd like it much without the context. Baggy pants and oversized jackets just are never flattering, not even in pixels, but the description makes it make sense as a practical choice not a stylish one.The hat and shirt pull this together well but that bag is... something. A risk I don't know paid off much.

Mirdith - I have mixed feelings in here. I love the sporty vibes, A LOT. But, brown and grey? I don't like that combination at all. Weren't there some black Uggs? And the huge sports bag? Like I get it with the description, but still, I think you could have found something more fashionable. This is a fashion competition after all, so your outfit looking fashionable should be your number 1 priority.

Myrthe-  Hmm this is a special outfit and I don't know if I like it? But I kind of do. I'm not a big fan of the combination of the brown boots and the grey sweatpants. I don't like the combination of these colours in this way. The top part is actually my favourite part of this outfit, love the red white and grey! It looks modern and casual. Maybe another colour of boots and another kind of pants would have been better here

Lucy - Love to hear you took advantage of the inspo! I love the t shirt layers, and the way the bag matches up with the boots. I think something with a little texture would have been nice - like the cut-out panel leggings in Active - but overall, a wonderful start!

Leigh - My favourite !(so far). The mustard jacket with the brown pieces is very nice, and like Lucy I love you took some time to look at the inspiration, and layered up the shirts. I think I might have liked a different white one on the bottom as the hem looks kind of like it doesn't fit well, but it's not a major thing.

Mirdith - Yay! Such a nice entry! Even the make up looks perfect with what you created. I love the colours going on, it's very autumnal and the outfit looks very comfy and nice, just very appropriate for Ugg boots. I like where your inspiration came from, but advice for next task: add a little more! You could have added a big pair on sunglasses in that outfit and I think that would have made wonders!

Myrthe -  Oh I like this one! I'm a big fan of the black and yellow. The colours remind me of autumn and I actually really like that, because it fits with the ugg boots theme. Your hair and the bag also fit the yellow and black since it's the right kind of brown. A more warm brown I guess, that totally works! It's a basic outfit but I like it. Maybe try to do something extra next time to make your outfits even better

Lucy - gold...witthsilver...nooooo. Besides, the keychain doesn't really go with ANYTHING on this look, so I really don't know why it's there. Anyway, I'm always down for a tartan scarf and khaki coat, though I'm not 100% sure if that colour combo works together. I do like the little sock detail, and  there's plenty of texture here to keep me happy.

Leigh -  Eh, I think I was hoping for... something more I guess, from a previous contestant and judge. I don't think the colours in this work, the jacket green clashes too much with the scarf grey and pink. I don't get the keychain either. The socks are nice layering like Lucy pointed out, and I like the all-round fluff.

Mirdith -  Oh well, this is just very teenage going to school. Like normal teen going to school. I mean.... where's the fashion part in this? Your coat is so big there's barely anything else to add to the outfit. The colours of the scarf don't match with anything else in the outfit and the keychain would be a nice addition but looks SO random. I agree with Leigh in that the socks were a cool addition, but you have to work more for next time, create something different not something that anyone could wear.

Myrthe - Hmm like Mireia said, this is a really basic outfit that a teenager would wear to school (nothing wrong with that) but we want to see something new and special! Something that excited us. The colours do work together and so do the items. But it's nothing special really?

Mirdith -  This is an interesting entry. I like the colors a lot, and love how the hair matches the outfit. What I'm not that sure about is the shape of the jeans with the boots. It doesn't look bad, and each time I'm liking it more, but still, something not appealing to my eye. Also the bag, even if it was light pink on your computer screen (on mine has always been creamy white), I don't think it was a good choice either. I would have liked a bag that melted more with the rest of the outfit. Other than that, nice entry!

Lucy - An intruiging start! I love that we're seeing your style so readily - the vest is a very unique style choice, but I like it! The pants are matched very well with the bag, but at the same time, I don't know if that works with the top half. I think I expected a skirt, though it's not bad that it isn't.

Mirdith -  Get Uggy with it and you don't use Ugg boots? Besides that there's too much going on in here! Purple hair, red turtleneck, pink coat... and no bag? I like the shape of your outfit in general, but those colors all together are hurting my eyes Lucy talked about how hairs can cover the outfit. In here that's a very little part of the outfit that are covering, and I'm not taking into consideration the hair when judging, but it just brings down the rest of the outfit. You should pay attention to those details, cause even if they are not taken into account, they help the outfit to be more visible and appealing sometimes.

Lucy - Yikes, someone didn't quite read the instructions. I guess these could be classed as"ugg-like" and "boots", but they're not in starcoins, and they don't come from the links or instructions provided. I think Mirdith covered pretty much everything I can think of, so I won't bother re-iterating it.

Lucy - First of all - please crop your photos! There's an inbuilt part of imgur that you can do it with, it only takes a second. As for the outfit, I love that colours - oh, and THIS is how you pair silver with gold, everyone! The bag has both, which makes the rest look more styled, and less mistaken. I don't know if I like that hat, but perhaps that's more down to stardoll's lack of hats that, well, fit.
