Monday 15 October 2018

This time, you need to be inspired by a SPECIFIC image from the inspiration - and each one can only be done ONCE!  You CANNOT pre-claim anything, or use one someone else has already styled. It is only by submitting your finished outfit that the image is yours. There are more than enough to have one per person, but the longer you wait, the less selection there will be.

We recommend using the colours, names, and cutie marks to inspire your outfit, but you may also want to look up their origins and background stories. If you do so, make sure to comment such and what influence it had on your look when you submit. Beware, there are different versions in different countries (ie different hair colours) and we ONLY want you to use the ones as shown in the pictures below.

Again, you CANNOT CLAIM THEM until your outfit has been submitted, and you CANNOT use one that someone else has already done.

LUCY - I love this choice of cup! The colours are matched expertly, and the use of leopard print is subtle but classy. I don't love the bag, and I outright hate that hat as it looks wrong with the off-white of your hair and doesn't even fit properly.

LEIGH - This is a really interesting outfit I think. I like the fact you went with the printed pants and I especially love the pop of blue on your shoes, it ties the whole look together which is great. Like Lucy I don't like that hat. But I do like the bag, it's trendy and edgy!

JENNA - I don't know about the jacket thing, it looks too festival-y with the rest. Also not the hat. But the blue and the leopard is one real well.

LEIGH - What a lovely choice of cup and colours this is! It's so quirky. I don't love the two tops but I can see why you did it. The shoes and socks are adorable.

LUCY - Personally, I'm conflicted. The bottom half is great - love the shoes and socks, the belt and skirt - but the two shirts are a bit weird, the fanny pack seems like it's from a much edgier outfit, and the glasses are just a no from me.

JENNA - I might like the colour a lot but the more I look the less I like the outfit. I think Lucy got this one for me. I think if you had a biker jacket or some dark sleeves instead of two blues the bag would have gone better.

Alma1902 - 7.27

LUCY - Love the shoes...and that's about it. The portions are just bizzare, the resized skirt with the sweater already looks bulky, which could have worked, except the jacket just makes it wider, and the bag not only emphasises it - but her hand it in her jacket pocket, so how could he be holding it?

LEIGH - I initially loved this. Until I read Lucy's feedback and realised I agree. I think the top+skirt, OR top+jacket, and always those shoes, could have worked. But the portions of everything together is just really awkward, it's unisex in a dressed-in-the-dark way and not in a gender neutral way is what I'm getting.

JENNA - I thought first this was just not my style, but then I saw the colours were all different, and as the judges said, it's too big and wide. Not your best.

AshleighDana - 7.33

LUCY - This is a bit of a messy outfit. Without the bag and necklace, it would have been plain, but with therm, it's a bit too much at once. I like the top, skirt and jacket together though and like that you took a risk.

JENNA - I love the rainbows, did you know it was international coming out day? Because I think that makes this special even more. I don't hate the bag but like Lucy I think it's a lot extra you didn't need it.

LEIGH - This is a fairly mediocre look. The body is very edgy, conservative-yet-sexy which I love. But like the others said, the accessories are all a bit much.

It's time the cowboy boot got a bit of a makeover!

We want to see you make an outfit using cowboy boots - but with none of those old-fashioned country values. Make it worthy of a modern NYC or Paris or even Tokyo fashion week street snap!

WHAT IS A COWBOY BOOT?

A cowboy boot falls ABOVE the ankle and BELOW the knee. There is either no heel, or a chunky low one. There is a v-shaped front. Here are some examples:
