Task 6 Results

First place is Louisa.Karemina - congrats! Sadly, we have to eliminate someone - and this week, it's Gingerzarah. Tied in second to last are Noismini & Mylife-notyours who both chose the next theme as Fashionism.

Myrthe - the outfits you made are still a little bit simple and you could have added more in my opinion. If you look at the three outfits as a whole, it's weird that you used the same jeans. A different jeans would have been a better choice. On your last outfit I like the socks you used and the sheer fabric over the jeans. However, I don't think it works great with the black fur jacket, I'm not a fan of it in combination with a short-sleeved t-shirt. Your first look is just okay.

Mirdith - Your first outfit, the one with the dress is pretty good. However, as Myrthe mentioned the last outfit just looks like the first one almost for using the same jeans. Overall, I see cohesion, but the squad does not transmit me a powerful fashion sense, just some girls hanging around.

Leigh - I'm not too into any of these I'm sad to say. They don't look like models on break or a pop group, more like what my friends look like on your average day, which is not really what we're looking for with this task. Using the same shoes is fine I guess, but the same pants as well just seems lazy when there's so many more floral things out there. And what on earth are you wearing a fur vest for?

Lucy - Last to judge, and I'm struggling to find something nice to say to be perfectly honest. The jean jacket is a nice idea but I don't get why you layered two skirts. And it's a major no to whatever that fur jacket is doing. I wouldn't have minded using the same pants and shoes if the rest of the looks had worked better.

Myrthe -you can totally tell that these outfits belong together, since they have the same set-up: flowery shirt, jeans, some coloured heels, holding flowers, headpiece,...
It's almost copying the original outfit, but in a different way. You could say it's inspired, but that's just the way you look at it. I would have given you a higher score if the outfits were a little bit more different. However, they work well together and look like a girl's squad! I just miss a little bit of your own creativity in this.

Mirdith - I love the cohesion going on in your entry! Also it was a very special combo, and you managed to keep the combo in your two outfits still being different one from another. Nice job!

Lucy - I'm intruigued by the way you used the dresses. I don't hate it, don't love it, but I can see why you did it. The vibes across these are all very different, which I also don't mind. The shoes, however... something just is not working there.

Leigh - Last up, and I think everything is said. Don't like the shoes, and the could have just been more interesting if you mixed it up a bit (maybe using different sheer socks and jean shapes?) but I like that these look consistent shape-wise.

Myrthe - Wow I love the colour use in those outfits and all of the prints! Your outfits look really well composed and are very stylish and modern. I love how you used another checked print if every item, they aren't the same but work very well together. Also nice touch to use an animal printed bag in every outfit! On your first outfit the jacket is placed a little bit weird, I think it had to be lower and there is some weird scarf think peeking out. But I do love the pants with that top and those shoes! On your second outfit (number 3 in the picture) I like the jacket the most. I do like the top, but I don't know if it fits the whole 'squad' result? I'm not sure about that.

Mirdith - This is what I consider a super cool squad! Amazing job! The common items on the outfits of the squad is unique and special and at the same time the outfits individually look very cool and fashion-forward!

Lucy - I like the various prints and textures you've used here, as well as the colour variety (which, if you've been paying attention, is often something I hate, so good job.) I think the devil's in the detail, though, because the jacket placement on the first look is all kinds of wrong, and I'm just not sure I like the shirt on look 2.

Leigh - The first look I think is my favourite, because the second one looks almost like more of a knockoff version of the original. I really like the prints and the various animal prints!

Myrthe - Pretty in pink! There is nothing I can see wrong with the colours you used here, they match very well. The outfits are all pale pink. I don't know if the combination of that sweater and that skirt is already made in the starplaza by Stardoll itself, I think it actually is. So the fact that these items already belonged together makes this outift less of an achievement. If you understand what I mean. I was going to say that the colours of the sweater and the skirt matched very well, but I guess they were made for each other by Stardoll itself. Your first outfit on the other hand, is very cute and girly. I'm a big fan of the shoes you used. Maybe to match your inspiration outfit some more, you could have used an even lighter tone of the pink (to match the pants) in your outfits some more.

Mirdith - Okay that is nice BUT too easy. It looks like a nice squad, I'm sure it will make heads turn around, but just for the super strong cohesion in the use of same colour, for the monochrome theme going on. I think you could have created more complex outfits still maintaining the pinkish nude colour.

Lucy - the pink tones are...fine. But there's just not much going on in any of these, and like Myrthe mentioned, the second outfit top-bottom combo were actually on a stardoll mannequin at one point, which is disappointing. On the second look, you do have a silver-gold mix on the handbag, in a good way, which is something the original look was criticized for, which is an interesting move on your part.

Leigh - I feel like, since you added white lace and shoes in the first look, you should have had more in the second so it didn't look so random. Like the others I'm just disappointed there's not a lot happening in either look.

Mylife-notyours - 7.125

Myrthe - intersting approach to remake the outfit but in different colours! The outfits you made are also very simple like your inspiration outfit. I wish you would have gone for something more exciting and more of a challenge. Some more layers, structure,... Your outfits are totally fine, it's not that I don't like them. The green outfits looks like something to wear on vacation in like Miami or something, maybe it's because of that print? i don't like the bag with it, it's too chic to combine with those pants. I also would have gone for different shoes here. Your yellow outfit is a little bit trendier and dressed up, that's probably because of the earrings, the sparkly top and the big necklace. The problem for me is that every outfit has a complete different vibe/style to it.

Mirdith I love how you kept the shape of the outfit to create two more looks to go with it. But, the look you chose was more elegant and fancy, while yours are more casual. They have some items that give me a tacky feeling and the outfit you got the inspo from does not transmit me that at all. The combo of yellow and gold was complicated. Maybe keeping it white and gold would have been a better option. And on the first one the bag is a bit distracting going in a total different colour.

Lucy - I also love the way you used the shapes, and went for different prints, colours and styles! They look like a real "squad" - most friends wear different prints and have different styles. I don't mind that they're a mix of casual and semi-formal because it reminds me of the old 90s girl bands and the way they often looked as a group. I do wish there could have been more layering going on, but then it may have been more difficult to match the overall shape.

Leigh - Oh, so hard to score this one! Like Lucy this reminds me of 90s and even early 2000s girl groups, like the way Spice Girls would dress sometimes in Sporty, Sexy and Fancy styles but still looking co-ordinated. Also like the others some texture or layers would have been nice, like a sheer body, which would have kept the shape overall the same.

Myrthe - Colour use is spot on here, white and yellow all over the place. It's hard to do this wrong I think; Since your inspiration only used those two colours. I like your second outfit a lot more than your first outfit. Looks more dressed up and business like. I like the jacket with those pants and the simple high heels. They look classy and professional. I'm not a fan of your first outfit, the dress looks tacky and those shoes with a dress like that are a no go for more. I do like the jacket and it would have looked so much better if you used other items with it!
Mirdith - Keeping the same colours was a good idea and I also like that the three outfits give me the same feeling, so... cohesion checked. First look is a bit random for me with those boots and the bag... I don't think they fit too much the look. Second outfit is very beautiful though. Elegant and business-like very much like the one from the inspiration.
Lucy  - Like the others, I think this colour combo would be pretty hard to mess up, and you didn't, which is good, just not a big achievement. And as you said, since the different tones are separate, it's similar but different while not really being an issue as it often is when on one outfit. Like the others, I think the accessories are a bit off - the first is very business, and then with casual boots and a backpack bag? And the second bag I think should be in the other hand.
Leigh - The words were taken from my head again! The accessories don't really do it for me either. The yellow tones are really well done and you didn't overuse them on either look which I think could have been very easy to do.
